    Placement Exams will be sent out virtually to candidates requesting advanced placement in our coursework.

    Offer Letter: Offer letters will be sent to qualifying applicants.

  • April 15th, 2025

    Acceptance Response: You must follow the steps in the Acceptance Letter and respond to hold your spot. Failure to do so mean your spot will be given to the next applicant on the waiting list.

Financial Aid

Making a Sherwood St Academy Education Possible

Sherwood St Academy recognizes that financing an independent school education is a major commitment for families. Therefore, the school allocates institutional funds and donor contributions toward a designated fund to offer assistance for families with financial need. Financial assistance is considered for those candidates who have successfully met the criteria for admission and have already received formal acceptance. Typically, 15-20% of our student body is provided some portion of financial aid.

FAQs

  • How is financial assistance determined?

    Financial assistance is based on need. A financial assistance committee will determine the eligibility of need and the amount of the award based on the amount of available funds, the number of applicants requesting assistance, and the need demonstrated by the applicant’s family.

  • Are all grades eligible for financial assistance?

    Students in grades 6 through 12 are eligible for consideration of financial assistance.

  • When do I apply?

    Once you have received an official admission notification of acceptance, you may then apply for consideration of financial assistance for the coming school year.
